Dr. Sufian, DMD, D.ABDSM


Dr. Sufian is a native of New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Criminal Justice before heading to Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his doctoral degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine.

He completed an externship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at UMDNJ and a general practice dental residency at Newark Beth Israel – St. Barnabas Health. During his residency he completed extensive training in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, and oral surgery under the guidance of internationally recognized practitioners.

Dr. Sufian was recently designated as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM). The ABDSM is the leading national testing organization for dentists who treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Earning Diplomate status from the ABDSM is a unique honor that recognizes special competency in dental sleep medicine.

Dr. Sufian remains committed to teaching the next generation of dentists as a part time faculty at Rutgers School. He also attends countless hours of continuing education courses domestically and internationally each year. He also has worked with the NY Jets Franchise and is a qualified team dentist under the Academy of Sports Dentistry.

When not working, Dr. Sufian enjoys spending time with his wife and their adorable daughter.
